After a fantastic launch party and an enormous 7000 votes, we are delighted to announce that we have closed the voting for the Birmingham Food, Drink & Hospitality Awards 2016!

Last night, at the exclusive Colmore Club in Central Birmingham, the great and the good assembled for the launch party for the fabulous inaugural award ceremony.

Local luminaries braved the driving rain to connect in a night of mirth, merriment and mingling, with master of ceremonies, Raaj Shamji, whipping the crowd into a frenzy with the latest news and voting numbers for the upcoming event.

The votes have been coming in thick and fast over the last week, with a massive spike from Friday and over the weekend.

With nearly 2000 votes coming in just for the Michelin category, this year’s contest is firing on all cylinders, or should that be ‘Gas Cookers.’

Now, in the coming week, the judges will be getting together to verify the process and all the winners will be revealed at the amazing ceremony on the 6th of June at Edgbaston Stadium.
