FOOD FESTIVALS TO FINE DINING:

CELEBRATE THE MIDLANDS AT THE MFDHA 2026

Birmingham’s food scene continues to prove why it’s one of the UK’s most exciting destinations for food lovers. With everything from vibrant street food markets to more Michelin stars than any other UK city outside London, the region’s passion for food, drink and hospitality is impossible to ignore.

This summer, that passion will once again take centre stage as the Colmore Food Festival returns to Victoria Square for its 13th edition on 3–4 July 2026. The much-loved free festival attracted an incredible 75,000 visitors last year, bringing together Michelin-star chefs, independent traders and some of the city’s most exciting culinary talent. From bao buns and gelato lollies to Argentinian steaks and artisan treats, the event perfectly captures the creativity, diversity and energy of Birmingham’s hospitality scene.

It’s exactly this spirit that the Midlands Food Drink & Hospitality Awards (MFDHA) celebrates.

Now entering its 9th year, the Midlands Food Drink & Hospitality Awards 2026 are currently open for nominations, giving diners, customers and industry peers the chance to recognise the incredible people and venues that make the Midlands hospitality sector so special.

Behind every memorable meal, buzzing bar, welcoming hotel or independent café is a passionate team who live and breathe service, creativity and community. The awards shine a spotlight on those individuals and businesses who go the extra mile – the chefs, managers, front-of-house stars, street food operators and venues that truly embody what the industry is all about.

That’s why this year’s campaign proudly carries the message #MadeOfHospitality – celebrating the dedication, resilience and passion that defines the Midlands’ hospitality community.

If you’ve enjoyed a standout dining experience, discovered an incredible independent venue, or know someone who goes above and beyond in hospitality, now is the time to recognise them.
