Ben Drayner

I entered the Hospitality industry over 10 years ago working in cocktail bars and restaurants while at University in Sheffield, before taking an internship at The Gresham Hotel in central Dublin. I worked in all departments from housekeeping to the kitchen, and gained all-round knowledge and experience in the Hotels Sector.

 

After finishing University, I joined the Q Hotels graduate scheme working as a Food and Beverage Supervisor, and Duty Manager in a very challenging 4* Golf and Star Hotel. After over a year in the hotel, I made the switch to sunny Birmingham, taking over the Events and Private Dining Department at Hotel Du Vin, and then the Bubble Lounge and Pub du Vin.

 

After a couple of years, I made the jump to London, looking after a small wine bar in Islington before moving to Evolve Hospitality. I spent three years overseeing all Front of House Temporary Recruitment for the Event Division, before moving Home to Birmingham as Branch Manager.

 

It is great to be involved and working with so many inspirational hospitality champions in the Midlands. The scene is only getting better and better and it is great to be a part of something special!
